Dr. Gregory Langland, PhD                Advisory Board Education Representative

Dr. Greg Langland earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cincinnati and his Doctorate in Philosophy from the Dept. of Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry and Microbiology at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine.  He performed his post-doctoral studies at the E.O. Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory. 
Dr. Greg realized his true passion is teaching and has been teaching either full-time or part-time since 2005.  He has served as Program Directors at Del Mar College for Biotechnology and at Merritt College for Clinical Histology and Immunohistochemistry. Dr. Langland is a board certified Histotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology.  He has taught both biology and chemistry at all levels from graduate and medical students to preschoolers and most ages in between. 
He lives in Oakland with his wife Rachel (also a biologist) and their five-year old daughter Lydia and two-year old son Conner.  His hobbies include motorcycles, gardening, aquaculturing and BBQ. 
Ms. Tracy Becker              Advisory Board Alumni Parent Representative

Tracy Becker has a BA in Business Economics from UCLA.  She began her career in retail management, before moving on to establishing her own sales representation company in the athletic sportswear industry.

Tracy has lived in Alameda, CA for 20 years, is the co owner of Becker Media a full service advertising agency specializing in adult for profit and not for profit education.

She is married to Roger Becker and they have two sons: Matthew, a Junior at Bishop O’Dowd High School, Oakland  and Jack who is an alumni of the DaVinci Center and currently enrolled  at Encinal High School in Alameda.

The education and emotional support Jack received at the DaVinci Center has resulted  in him being a successful, happy, thriving  Freshman this year.
