Gene P. LaFollette, JD                        Advisory Board President

Gene P. LaFollette has over 40 years of legal experience. He received his B.A. in history at Kansas University in 1965. He then attended Hastings College of Law in San Francisco and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1969. After law school, he served 3 years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. From 1971-1981 he worked at the Alameda County Public Defender's Office. From 1981 - 1999 he started a law practice with his fellow colleague in Oakland, CA. In 1999 he decided started his own business in Alameda, CA where he continues to practice law and help others in need of legal advice and representation. Attorney LaFollette is certified by the Administrative Office of the Courts Center for Judicial Education and Research as a pro tem judge and has taught law courses at a local university and college. He lives in Alameda with his wife Caroline.

Ms. Tracy Becker              Advisory Board Alumni Parent Representative

Tracy Becker has a BA in Business Economics from UCLA.  She began her career in retail management, before moving on to establishing her own sales representation company in the athletic sportswear industry.

Tracy has lived in Alameda, CA for 20 years, is the co owner of Becker Media a full service advertising agency specializing in adult for profit and not for profit education.

She is married to Roger Becker and they have two sons: Matthew, a Junior at Bishop O’Dowd High School, Oakland  and Jack who is an alumni of the DaVinci Center and currently enrolled  at Encinal High School in Alameda.

The education and emotional support Jack received at the DaVinci Center has resulted  in him being a successful, happy, thriving  Freshman this year.
